DriveChina is an information site about Chinese electric vehicles coming to Canada. We keep this simple: here's what we do with your information.

What we collect

If you fill out our interest form, we collect what you give us: your name, email, postal code and province, the brands you're interested in, your purchase timeline, your budget and vehicle type, and (if you choose to share them) your phone number and current vehicle. For email-only sign-ups (alerts, newsletter) we keep just your email. We also note which site you came from and your approximate region so we can understand where interest is coming from.

How we use it

To let you know when these EVs become available in Canada, send you updates on pricing and incentives, understand which models people care about most and, where you've asked to be contacted about a vehicle, connect you with the right automotive partners.

Sharing with partners

When you tell us you're interested in specific vehicles, we may pass your information to relevant automotive partners (dealers, automakers, importers, or their authorized representatives) so they can contact you about availability, pricing, or offers. We may receive compensation for these referrals. We don't share your information with partners unrelated to what you asked about.

We also use service providers (hosting, infrastructure, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. Your information may be stored or processed outside your province or outside Canada.

Third-party services

We use Google Fonts, which load from Google's servers, so Google may see your IP address when the page loads, as on most websites.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies, and no advertising analytics tool is installed. Your browser only keeps a few preferences needed for the site to work, like your theme choice (light/dark).

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails anytime using the link in every message. To have your data deleted, email us at hello@drivechina.ca and we'll remove what we hold in our systems. If we've already passed your information to a partner at your request, you may need to contact them directly as well.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published here, with the date at the top of the page.
